【摘要】:Thispracticeprovidesgeneralguidelinesforthepracticeofliquidchromatographyorsizeexclusionchromatographycoupledwithinfraredspectrometricdetectionandanalysis(LC/IR,SEC/IR).Thispracticeassumesthatthechromatographyinvolvedisadequatetoresolveasampleintodiscretefractions.Itisnottheintentionofthispracticetoinstructtheuseronhowtoperformliquidorsizeexclusionchromatography(LCorSEC).1.1Thispracticecoverstechniquesthatareofgeneraluseinqualitativelyanalyzingmulticomponentsamplesbyusingacombinationofliquidchromatography(LC)orsizeexclusionchromatography(SEC)withinfrared(IR)spectrometrictechniques.Thesamplemixtureisseparatedintofractionsbythechromatographicseparation.ThesefractionsaresubsequentlyanalyzedbyanIRspectroscopicmethod.1.2ThreedifferenttypesofLC/IRtechniqueshavebeenusedtoanalyzesamples(1,)2.Theseconsistofeluenttrapping(seePracticesE334),flowcellanddirectdeposition.Thesearepresentedintheorderthattheywerefirstused.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
