【摘要】:Throughput,powerandenergyrequirements,andproductsizearekeyparametersthatdescribetheoperationandperformanceofsolidwastesize-reductionequipment.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodetermineifthesize-reductionequipmentisoperatingwithinspecificationsandmeetingperformancecriteria.Havingdeterminedtheparametersgivenin5.1,theequipmentthathasbeensubjectedtothetestmaybecomparedtootherequipmentsimilarlytestedinordertoestablishrelativelevelsofperformanceamongequipment.Thebasictestperiodisacontinuoustwotofourhduration.Theuseofseveraltestperiodsmaybewarrantedtoassessadequatelytheperformanceofsizereductionequipment.1.1Thistestmethodcoversmeasuringtheperformanceofsolidwastesizereductionequipment.1.2Thistestmethodcanbeusedtomeasuretheflow(thatis,throughput)ofsolidwastethroughthesize-reductionequipment,energyusageofthesize-reductiondevice,andparticlesizeoftheshreddedproduct.1.3Thistestmethodincludesinstructionsformeasuringenergyusage,solidwastethroughput,netprocessingtime,andparticlesizedistribution.1.4Thistestmethodappliesonlytosizereductionequipmentthatproducesashreddedproductwithasizecorrespondingto90%cumulativepassingintherangeof0.5to15cm(0.2-6in.)onanair-dryweightbasis.Formaterialwithnominalsizesoutsideofthisrange,theprecisionandbiasstatementsforparticlesizedesignation(Section)maynotapply.1.5Thistestmethodcanbeappliedtosizereductionequipmentlocatedanywherewithinaprocessingline.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSectionforspecifichazardinformation.
