【摘要】:Thisclassificationsystemtabulatesthepropertiesofthermoplasticelastomers(TPEs)thatareintendedfor,butnotlimitedto,useinautomotiveapplications.ThisclassificationsystemisbasedonthepremisethatthepropertiesofTPEscanbearrangedintocharacteristicmaterialdesignations.Thesedesignationsaredeterminedbytype,basedonresistancetoheataging;andclass,basedonresistancetovolumechangeresultingfromoilimmersion.Basiclevelsarethusestablishedwhich,togetherwithvaluesdescribingadditionalrequirements,permitcompletedescriptionofthepropertiesofallTPEs.Inallcaseswhereprovisionsofthisclassificationsystemwouldconflictwiththoseofthedetailedspecificationsforaparticularproduct,thelattershalltakeprecedence.
