【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforcalibratingleakartifactsofaspecifiedgas,thatmaybeusedfordeterminingtheresponseofleakdetectors,orinothersituationswhereaknownsmallflowofgasisrequired.Thepurposeofthispracticeistoestablishcalibrationwithoutreferencetoothercalibratedleaksinasstraightforwardamanneraspossibleusingthelikeliestavailableequipment.Whiletheuncertaintiesassociatedwiththeseprocedureswillmostlikelybegreaterthanthoseobtainedviatraceablecalibrationchains(ontheorderof10%),theseproceduresallowindependentmeansofestablishingorverifyingtheleakageratefromleakartifactsofquestionablehistory,orwhentraceableleakartifactsarenotavailable.1.2Twotypesofleaksareconsidered:1.2.1TypeI8212;Pressuretovacuum.1.2.2TypeII8212;Pressuretoatmosphere.1.3Threecalibrationmethodsaredescribedundereachtypeofreferenceleak:1.3.1MethodA8212;Accumulationcomparison,usingaknownvolumeofgasatspecifiedconditionsoftemperatureandpressureasareference.1.3.2MethodB8212;Accumulationcomparison,usingaleakartifactcalibratedusingMethodA.1.3.3MethodC8212;Displacementofaliquidslug,bytheleak,incapillarytubeofknowndimensions.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Themetricequivalentsofinch-poundunitsmaybeappropriate.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
