【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedforspectroscopistswhoareattemptingtoestablishelectrothermalatomicabsorptionprocedures.UsedinconjunctionwithPracticeE663,itshouldbehelpfulforestablishingacompleteatomicabsorptionanalysisprogram.1.1Thispracticecoversaprocedureforthedeterminationofmicrogrampermilliliter(956;g/mL)orlowerconcentrationsofelementsinsolutionusinganelectrothermalatomizationdeviceattachedtoanatomicabsorptionspectrophotometer.Ageneraldescriptionoftheequipmentisprovided.Recommendationsaremadeforpreparingtheinstrumentformeasurements,establishingoptimumtemperatureconditionsandothercriteriawhichshouldresultindeterminingausefulcalibrationconcentrationrange,andmeasuringandcalculatingthetestsolutionanalyteconcentration.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificsafetyhazardstatementsaregiveninSection9.
