【摘要】:Describesthetestingproceduresandrequirementsapplicabletotheclassificationofinteriorfinishmaterialassembliesbyuseofthestandardizedroomfireexposure.Thistestmethodisintendedforuseintheevaluationoftheflammabilitycontributionofwallmaterialassemblies,ceilingmaterialassemblies,orboth,exposedtoearlyfiregrowthunderspecifiedroomfireexposureconditions.Theeffectivenessoffirebarriermaterialsasprotectionforothercombustiblematerialsorcomponentswithintheassemblyisofprimaryinterestforthisevaluation.DatawithrespecttosurfaceflammabilitycharacteristicsofinteriorfinishmaterialsisprovidedbyevaluationsinaccordancewiththeStandardforTestforSurfaceBurningCharacteristicsofBuildingMaterials,UL723.Theresultsobtainedbyuseofthistestmethodareintendedtobeusedasoneelementofthetotalbodyofdatausedintheprocessesofselectingandcontrollingmaterialsforuseinbuildingconstruction.
